An ornamental, deciduous tree, 10 to 30 feet high. The leaves are opposite, petiolate, oval, oblong, smooth, spreading, entire, 6 to 12 inches long, 3 to 5 inhes wide. The flowers are white, appearing from April to June, axillary, panicled with filiform-branched pedicels.
Found in :-
Southern, Pennsylvania and southward found on river banks and sandy plains.
